The Mists de l'Isle-Marie

Our long day ends with the bright moon lit night,
As we find the gate guarding this delight.
Strolling through the vast forest of mighty trees,
Our vigor renews from the fresh gentle breeze.
This marvel basks in a seductive glow,
Warm greetings... allure come from the chateau.

In this distant land of cool summer days,
Sweet dreams this night giving rise to your gaze.
As we awaken from the giant's slumber,
Songbirds beckon us... to windows we lumber.
What hidden wonders wait for us to see,
That lay within the mists de l'Isle-Marie.

These rolling mists bring back memories of home,
Beyond the water's edge as whispers roam.
Like the age of Vikings and ruins galore,
We explore this storybook castle of lore,
Through twists and turns our two paths became one,
In this timeless place where sands never run.

While we meander through the misty ruts,
Imagining canopies of chestnuts.
As we hide behind the massive trunks on cue,
The sun peeks through to smile gently upon you.
Gone is the weariness that travel casts,
Now we walk together alone at last.
