Manoir de Bellefonds

A stones throw away from the main house lies the beautiful 17th century, rose covered Manoir de Bellefonds. The building's imposing structure is glimpsed through the trees from the steps of the chateau.

Built in 1675 for the Maréchal de Bellefonds it is flanked by an exquisite Italianate 17th century stable block and on the other side by an important chapel designed by Mansart, architect to the court of Versailles. The manoir was built by the Maréchal as a hospital for his wounded soldiers but after his death became a family home.

The manoir was recently renovated and is divided into three luxury self-service apartments, the Maréchal, the Chevalier and the Marquise.
